As a preschool, reflect on the question ‘When do we use additional languages in our program?’
- Print the Reflect on language learning poster, and display it in a prominent place at your preschool.
- Use the poster to begin conversations about how you include additional languages in your program. Take note of these interactions and keep them as evidence for your Quality Improvement Plan.
- Record examples of additional language use in your preschool program. You can include these in your daily reflection or other communications with families.
- Think about how staff can be supported to practise your chosen language with the children. Print out posters containing your chosen language for staff to refer to. Keep the app guides on hand for all staff to access.
