Introduce the ELLA program to your children using some of these tried and tested methods:
- Use the demo mode to play and talk about App 1 in group time or small groups.
- Place the tablets in the room and let the children discover and explore as individuals or in small groups.
- Include props to stimulate discussion and interest (eg globes and world maps, books, pictures and artefacts). During these discussions, determine children’s experiences and understandings around language, culture and technology.
- Highlight the linguistic and cultural backgrounds of children and educators.
- Introduce the ELLA program as part of a broader inquiry or focus around identity, culture or different ways of being.
