Getting to know App 1

First, all staff involved in implementation should take time to:

  • watch the Overview of the Polyglots: In the Playroom on this page.
  • use the Demo mode in the app to play and talk about App 1 in group time or small groups.
  • familiarise themselves with the App 1 guide located in the App toolkit section of the website.

‘The theme for App 1: The Polyglots in the Playroom is introductions and greetings … The point of that is to elicit some kind of response and, hopefully, over time, getting children to say some of the language that they have been exposed to, again, such as “hello” or “see you later”.’
